Joining Facebook Groups that appeal to your personal and business passions is a great way to identify like-minded people that you would like to connect with and get to know on a deeper level. I have a Facebook group Branding for Professional Business Women if this group feels in alignment with you either personally or business come and join the party.
Privately reach out to people that you would like to get to know better but be sure to clearly share your intent. Unfortunately because so many people are constantly being bombarded
Never privately IM a friend or stranger with an unsolicited "sales pitch" it is the fastest way to turn the marketplace off to you and your brand. Emotionally connecting with the marketplace is all about trust. No one trust a stranger or even a friend that only reaches out to them to sell them something.
Making network introductions is a great way to increase your network which increases your brand VISIBILITY. Be clear about your intention when introducing people to each other. You always want to make sure that each party understands why you are making the introduction and why you think they would make for a great connection.
When you attend a networking event and you recognize people from your social media take a "group" picture together and upload it to your social media channels be sure to tag all of the people in the picture. This is a great way to increase your network, grow your personal exposure across other networks and your brand VISIBILITY.
